Celebrating our Resistance, Resiliance, Empowerment & Joy!

1) DANCE AS RESISTANCE - ARTS & WELLNESS GATHERINGS
Each Gathering will include:

  • Showing of a GWDC piece of choreography on film

  • Interactive Presentation of Black Resistance through dance & GWDC's Lineage

  • GWDC Choreography taught - come dance (standing or in a chair!)

  • Sound Bath

  • Shared Meal

Come celebrate our liberation, our community, our strength, our hope, and our collective power. Please RSVP, as spots are limited.

July 11th: Shelter In Place: An Exploration of Gentrification, Displacement & Homelessness

July 25th: A Ballad for John Henry - Tracing the unbroken lineage between Slavery, Convict Leasing, and Mass Incarceration

August 8th: #DanceTheVote

The subjects are deep, but the gatherings will be joyful! No dance experience needed! Come move your body in community - standing or sitting in a chair are both great!

July 6th - Aug 8th Thursdays @ 2pm, 6 weeks , IN STUDIO Beginning Pilates for Elders

2) 2025 SUMMER OF FREE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY JUNETEENTH ARTS & WELLNESS COMMUNITY CLASSES

All dance classes are family-friendly and don’t require any prior dance experience. Come enjoy being in community and moving your body!

All summer in-person activiites are masked. We’ll hand you a fresh, individually wrapped N95 (US made Aura or Indiana Facemask) at the door, which are required to enter the studio. If you are sick or have been exposed, please stay home and take care of yourself and the community.
